Mr. Athlete

This was Jace's 2nd year of Tball but first year up in Park City and he loved it. Both him and Nash love baseball and are always playing catch or pitching to eachother. He was on the Astros and he had some great coaches. At first we worried about the coaches being a little too into it but it didn't take us much time to realize how great they were. They were very organized, prepared, and loved the kids. They cheered them on as if they were playing in the world series. They held a banquet for the kids at Maxwells Pizza in Park City after their last game. They gave awards out to each player and Jace got the Mr. Athlete award. He was so proud and he was very deserving of it. He was quite the little player... I think he was the only one on the team that actually generated some outs on the field. It was a great season!

The summer has been flying by and surprise, surprise I haven't updated this for awhile... I will get better! Last week Ben and I decided Thursday morning that we were going to head to Newport Beach and left that night! It was very spontaneous and fun! Infact, we didn't even have a hotel room when we arrived. We went straight to the Beach and booked one from there. The kids loved the waves, sand, and all the fun reataurants and food on the boardwalk. We met up with my cousin Holley who lives there and she showed us the town...we even saw Kobe Bryant. We had a great time just hangin' with the kids but we did miss little Dax- he was home with grandma having his own fun!

Dax's 1st Birthday Party! We kept it small. It was both sets of grandparents, Bruce and us. I can't believe he is already 1. He is growing so fast and it so cute. We love you baby Dax!

Eating his cupcake.

Opening his presents.

We thought Dax needed his haircut because we were having family pictures the next week.
We had a little problem with the clippers and ended up having to bic him! He looked like a totally different person. He was all grown up! It was a great Birthday Present!

The kids playing with Dax's new toys!

Ragnar LA

Wow! What a weekend. I got a call from a friend on Wednesday asking if I would like to go to LA and run a Ragnar race. If you're not familiar with what Ragnar Races are, they are Relay races that cosists of 12 team members. You usually run around 200 miles. Each team member runs 3 legs each. I did the Ragnar Del Sol in Arizona a couple months ago. It was my first race and I loved every minute of it. So, I knew I couldn't pass up the opportunity. Thank goodness for Ben and my mom for taking care of the kids so I could go! 4 of us from Salt Lake headed to LA on Thursday morning. We stopped along the way and did some shopping in Vegas. We arrived in Camarillo California at a friends house to meet up with the other 8 team members. The race started Friday morning. We ran from Santa Barbar to Dana Point. We ran along the coast enjoying the sun, sleeping on the beach and the awesome beach towns along the way. When it was all over we were sleep deprived, had sore legs, sore toes and sore stomachs from laughing so hard over the 25 hour race course. It doesn't get any better than that! Go Thunder Cats!

Nielsen Family at the Park

I finally did it! Thanks to friends bugging me and my sister in laws sitting me down and forcing me to do it, I finally did it! So, here is my first post. We went to Draper Park with the Nielsen Fam to enjoy the sunshine (it's about time) and to celebrate Nash's 3rd birthday.

We all have babies the same age... crazy but fun! We had a hard time keeping them on the blanket. They wanted to crawl around and eat the grass and sticks. The older kids love being together. They played baseball, soccer and just hung out. Family is the best!
